This has been one crazy week for me. I was traveling to see a friends newborn baby girl and was also in my best friends wedding. Needless to say I still haven't even planned for the week. Ahhh! I am a little late on this but I wanted to share some of the pictures from our 50th day of school and from our amazing Halloween party. I am pretty sure my room mom Lisa lives on Pinterest, so my amazing room mom=an amazing party.
These pictures really don't do justice!
My kids love doing holiday theme days and Halloween is always a favorite. We had a monster day, a spider day, and a pumpkin day. They are really loving my read the room activities, so the monster hunt was a big hit. This is part of my Monster MashPack at my Teachers Notebook Shop.
They also loved making the monster juice. I think the frozen blueberries for the eyeballs freaked them out a little but they all thought it was pretty good.
How many monsters tall are you??? I have this as a book in my unit but I am taking these and putting them in their first grade scrapbooks this year.
Sorry all of these ideas are late, but hopefully they will come to use in your classroom next year. I am always finding great ideas when it's a but too late. Here is you freebie! I made a Boo sight word game that goes with the Treasures Reading Series unit 2 words. It can be played as a partner game. They pick a card off the top of the deck, read the word, and keep it if they read it correctly. If they get it wrong it goes to the bottom of the pile. If they draw a Boo card they must put all of the cards back in the pile. The person with the most cards wins. I usually use this as a center or a great 10 minute filler if you have 10 sets.
Wow! What an awesome display of food for your Halloween Party! Let me think... we had juice and cupcakes. Did you do that? or parents?

Oh no...my room mother Lisa is awesome at this stuff. She made all the table decorations and fun halloween themed snacks. She is awesome. She also makes little kids tutus. They are really nice. Google hannah's tutus.
