Does anyone still get nervous when you get your observations throughout the year? Well today was one of those days. I had my principal in the room for my first observation of the year today, so I thought I would share what I did. The kids loved it and it was a huge hit! We have been introducing all of the h-brothers the past couple weeks and our last brother (wh) was introduced on Monday, so I made a cute superhero h-brother hunt for my observation today, plus I got a pretty good idea of who was getting it and who wasn’t.
I made masks (I love the masks) and copied them onto construction paper and laminated them so they wouldn’t rip. They were soooo cute and this was probably their favorite part of the lesson. I also had my cute little
h-brother superheroes placed throughout my classroom with different
h-brother words on them. The kids had to hunt around the room with their recording chart and find and record as many h-brother superheroes they could find. We came together as a class and charted all of our findings. This lesson went great and my kids were engaged the ENTIRE time.

Here is a picture of my chart I plan to hang up.
And the hunt begins….!
Here is a peak of the recording sheet they used.
I have this activity for sale at my Teachers Notebook shop for only $2.00. This has all of the superheroes to place around the room (24), the recording form, the mask template, and an extra writing activity. Also, if you have a Promethean Board I can email you the flipchart I made to go with the activity. Just let me know! I also have a cute math activity on the way. It is free and fun! I can't wait to post!
Here is the link to my superhero graphics.
